MEDIA PERSONALITY HAILS LAGOS CP ADEGOKE, SAYS HE'S A SHINNING STAR AMONGST HIS PEERS -TMnews

It was a moment of pleasantries on Wednesday when media practitioner/ Editor of TMnews Magazine, Temidayo Babalola SPMIIM together with other colleagues held a media chat to analyse the rate at which level of crime and criminalities has reduced drastically within the 100 days in office of CP Fayoade Adegoke in Lagos State.

Adegoke, in the course of his profession, is noted for his uprightness, social ties with the community and commitment to duty, so much that everywhere he served, he ensured his two feet are on the ground to eradicate criminals, which earned him many laurels.

Temidayo identified his philosophy which has continually guided his steps and made him a shining star amongst his peer and contemporaries, both in the police force and the civil society, adding that he is an erudite scholar and a witty administrator par excellence.

This is even as he paraded 64 suspected criminals arrested for sundry crimes. CP Adegoke noted that policing Lagos State deserves extra commitment and dedication to duty adding that his avowal is for him and his officers to remain awake while Lagosians enjoy their sleep.

He said, “Since assumption of office alot of measures were put in place to forestall crimes and criminality in the state and make a thriving hub for socio-economic activities. Lagos is the economic hub of not only Nigeria but the whole of Africa, so we want thrive to ensure that criminal activities are reduced to zero to allow for seamless economic activities.

We have told the Area Commanders and DPOs that they have no reason to go their houses to sleep. That’s to say there is enough police visibility in all corners of the state. Criminals are always watching areas where there are no enough police visibility so that they can strike. That’s why our men must as point of duty, as a point of commitment and dedication to duty must be on for 24 hours everyday and ensure that no area is left porous for criminals to operate.

That is what it takes policing Lagos. I used to tell my officers that Lagos is peaceful now, in those days in the 1990 to early 2020, you have no reason as a DPO to go to your house;  because the moment you close you’ll be called back that criminals are operating in your area and you have to be there to restore peace. Our resolve like I said is to ensure that Lagos is peaceful to ensure thriving social and economic activities in the state.”

 

 

The establishment of CP Crack Squad is another formation that give Lagosians relief. No wonder people can now sleep with their two eyes closed in Gbagada, Ojodu Berger, Ikorodu etc with the intervention of the squad headed by CSP Uba Adams.
