DONATED EQUIPMENT BY RCCG, A BOOST TO OUR EFFORTS - OGSG

 Ogun Sate government has described as a big boost, the medical equipment donated by the Redeemed Christian of God (RCCG) to support in the fight against coronavirus in the State.
          The State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, stated this in her remarks while inspecting the state of the art Intensive Care Unit medical facilities procured by the church to support the state government’s efforts in addressing the challenges of COVID-19.
          She said that the disease had become a rapid spreading pandemic all over the world and government cannot but respond to the unprecedented situation in the state, adding that its was doing everything possible to make sure that the spread of the disease was reduced, as well as ensure adequate treatment for patients already suffering from it.
          "What we have seen all over the world shows that there is a high incident of the disease and it becomes a big problem when people start to have respiratory symptoms and this is where Intensive care facilities and the ventilators become very essential.
          ‘’What RCCG has done today is a big boost to our preparedness to be able to cope with this. If our patients do develop respiratory failure, these phases of equipment will become valuable to saving lives in this country and am very happy that the church is supporting us in this aspect’’, she said.
          While appreciating the church for its support to the indigent with provision of food items, masks, sanitizers, and gloves, she said ‘’the equipment cannot be replaced for money or gold, as every country in the world needs it’’.
          Earlier in his welcome address, the Assistant General Overseer, Administration and Personnel, RCCG, Pastor Johnson Odesola said the occasion of the official handing over of medical equipment to Ogun State was part of the contribution of the RCCG under the leadership of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, to control the spread of COVID-19 in the State.
          He noted that the church has been in the forefront of efforts to manage the effects of COVID-19 through direct supports to governments, donations of surgical face masks, hand gloves and hand sanitizers, noting that to also help cushion the effect of the lockdown, the church has distributed not less than 1KG of 20, 000 bags of rice and other food items.
          The medical equipment donated to the State Government included; two Ventilators, two Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Beds, two Infusion Pumps, one Vital Signs Monitor and one Suctioning Machine.
