Solebo Hails Abiodun, Tinubu Over Leadership, Ogun 2027 Political Alignment

The National President of the Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria (MOUN), Alhaji Rasak Olusola Sotayo has congratulated Dapo Abiodun and Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as exceptional leadership and historic statesmanship that have repositioned Ogun State for greater development ahead of 2027, TMnews report.

Sotayo, who also serves as Chairman of the Riders and Owners of Motorcycles Organisation (ROMO), Ogun State, gave the commendation in a statement issued on Tuesday, where he praised Governor Abiodun for infrastructural development, political inclusiveness and what he termed a successful transition plan for Ogun State.

According to him, Governor Abiodun inherited a state burdened with over 4,000 kilometres of deteriorated roads but would be leaving behind major achievements including an international airport, a state airline, a 34-megawatt power plant, more than 1,600 kilometres of completed roads and significant growth in internally generated revenue.

Solebo noted that one of the governor’s greatest achievements was fostering political unity across the state, stressing that the consensus among former governors and political stakeholders reflected strong leadership and maturity.

He further commended the governor for supporting the emergence of a governorship candidate from Ogun West Senatorial District, describing it as a bold and historic decision after decades of agitation by the region.

Speaking on President Tinubu’s administration, the MOUN president applauded the President’s commitment to infrastructure and transportation development across the country.

He cited the commissioning of the Ogun international airport and the ongoing construction of the Badagry-Sokoto Highway as major projects that would enhance commerce, connectivity and economic growth nationwide.

Sotayo said transport workers across Nigeria had continued to feel the impact of the Renewed Hope agenda, adding that the President’s policies were yielding visible results at the grassroots level.

He declared support for President Tinubu’s second-term ambition, stating that continuity was necessary to consolidate ongoing reforms and national development initiatives.

The union leader also described the political collaboration between President Tinubu and Governor Abiodun as a strong alignment that has strengthened the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He expressed confidence that the party would remain united and victorious, while pledging the support of transport workers and grassroots mobilisers across Ogun State for the APC leadership at both the state and federal levels.
