OGUN SO-SAFE APPREHENDS SUSPECT WITH ARMS, DANGEROUS WEAPONS


At the last management briefing of So-Safe, the leadership of the Corps, Commander (Dr)Soji Ganzallo instructed his Officers to mop up all sort of arms, ammunitions and dangerous weapons in circulation which is conceived to be the instrument contributing to the rising spate of insecurity which is rearing its ugly head again in the Gateway State that is known for peace among the comity of State in this part of the country.

In this view, So-Safe Corps have apprehended crime suspect with arms and other dangerous weapons.

This is contained in a press release issued from the office of the Corps Commander and signed by the Director of Information of the Corps ACC Moruf Yusuf which has it that ''Acting upon such directive, the Intelligence  and Operation team of the Corps in Obafe Divisional Headquarter swung into action on the 24th of November, 2021 on the Intelligence available to them on that a man identified as Matthew was sighted on a spot around the Road Safety Corps Office, in Alapako axis, along Lagos-Ibadan Express Way and suspected to have a criminal intent of which our Operations Team advanced to the spot''.

''At the scene, the suspect was arrested, and preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect primarily was engaged with farming by Mr Babatunde who engaged him with salary payment for two months in Ibadan, Omi axis in Oyo State.

Thereafter, the suspect confessed that the Salary paid therein, could not sustain him having settled all debts he's owing within the neighborhood of his primary assignment.

Hence, he resolved to relocate to the spot of his arrest, an uncompleted building with some clothing materials.

At that spot of his arrest, our Operation Team picked up the following exhibits:1 Locally made Gun, 1 Big Stick, 1 Bank' ATM Card, 3 Phones (One Big with other two smaller ones, of  which their functionality could not be established as at the time of filing this report) 1 Cutlass and 1 Saw Blade.

Having carried out the preliminary investigation on him, the suspect and the exhibit found with him were handed over to the Police Post, Alapako for further investigation and likely prosecution.
