LSSTF DONATES BULLETPROOF VESTS, HELMETS TO BOOST AKERELE-LED LAGOS TASKFORCE OPERATIONS

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has further demonstrated confidence in the leadership of the Chairman of the Lagos State Taskforce, CSP Adetayo Akerele with the donation of bulletproof vests, ballistic helmets and other critical operational equipment aimed at strengthening security operations across Lagos State, TMnews report.
The visit also featured an inspection tour of operational units and personnel facilities within the agency, where the LSSTF delegation commended the growing efficiency, discipline and operational coordination being witnessed under CSP Akerele’s leadership.
Speaking during the presentation, Dr. Ogunsan stated that the support aligns with the mandate of the LSSTF to continuously provide logistics, equipment and operational support for security agencies working tirelessly to maintain law and order in Lagos State.
He explained that the anti-riot and protective equipment would improve the operational readiness and safety of officers responding to protests, civil disturbances and criminal activities, while enhancing public confidence in security operations.
Observers within the security sector have continued to acknowledge the visible transformation and renewed operational drive introduced by CSP Akerele since assuming leadership of the Lagos State Taskforce, particularly in the areas of enforcement coordination, anti-crime operations and restoration of sanity in notorious black spots across the state.
Receiving the equipment on behalf of the agency, CSP Akerele appreciated the Lagos State Security Trust Fund for its unwavering support and commitment to strengthening security institutions in the state.
He reaffirmed the agency’s dedication to professionalism, lawful enforcement and protection of lives and property, stressing that the welfare and safety of officers remain a priority under his administration.
According to him, the newly donated equipment would significantly improve operational efficiency, boost morale and enhance the safety of personnel deployed across different parts of Lagos.
The LSSTF also extended similar support to the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) as part of ongoing efforts to reinforce the security architecture of Lagos State.
