The Publisher and Editor-In-Chief of TMnews Magazine, Temidayo Babalola has congratulated the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, on his appointment, describing him as a man of integrity, courage, and unwavering dedication to the protection of Nigerians.

In a statement issued by Temidayo Babalola, he noted that Disu’s elevation by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was a recognition of his professionalism, operational competence and years of meritorious service in the Nigeria Police Force.

Babalola said the new Acting IGP has built an impressive career marked by leadership in critical operational units across the country. He notably served as Commander of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in Lagos, where he led strategic operations that significantly enhanced crime response, public safety, and rapid intervention policing.

Disu also headed the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) in Abuja, one of the Police Force’s most tactical and intelligence-driven units responsible for combating armed robbery, kidnapping and other organized crimes nationwide. His tenure at the IRT was widely regarded as impactful, resulting in major breakthroughs in crime detection and suppression.

In addition, he served as Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, where he provided effective leadership in coordinating policing operations within the nation’s capital and strengthening security architecture.

According to Babalola, Disu’s operational experience across elite tactical units and strategic command positions has prepared him adequately for the responsibility of leading the Police Force.
