Ipokia Teachers Honour Ogun Lawmaker, Hon. Bisi Oyedele for Outstanding Contribution to Education

In a landmark event held yesterday, the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), Ipokia Local Government Chapter conferred its first ever Life Patron title on Hon. Bisi Oyedele, the Member representing Ipokia Local Government in the Ogun State House of Assembly.

The union described the recognition as a testament to Hon. Oyedele’s unprecedented contributions to educational advancement, impactful representation and his teacher friendly leadership style since assuming office two years ago.
According to the NUT executives, Hon. Oyedele has consistently demonstrated passion for improving the teaching profession through policies, programs and initiatives that enhance the welfare of teachers and the quality of education within the constituency.
 The award was jointly presented by the Ogun State NUT Chairman, Comrade Noah Sewakanu, and the Ipokia Local Government NUT Chairman, Comrade Ibirinde Kolawole Olamide, during a special ceremony organized to commemorate World Teachers’ Day.
 
In his remarks after receiving the honor, Hon. Bisi Oyedele expressed gratitude to the teachers for the recognition, describing it as a motivation to do more. He reaffirmed his commitment to continuous collaboration with the education sector, promising sustained support and development driven partnerships that will uplift both teachers and students across Ipokia.
The event was attended by education stakeholders, union leaders, community representatives and political associates who commended the lawmaker for his remarkable dedication to human capacity development and grassroots empowerment.
With this conferment, Hon. Bisi Oyedele has etched his name in history as the first Life Patron of the NUT, Ipokia Chapter, a recognition that highlights his enduring legacy in promoting education and community growth.
