Ogun So-Safe Corps Nabs Suspected Robber, Recovers Stolen Goods
In a prompt and effective operation, the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps—commonly known as the So-Safe Corps—has arrested a suspect linked to a recent theft in the region.
Dr. Soji Ganzallo, the State Commander of the Corps, reported the apprehension of 25-year-old Sodiq Kamoru, a resident of Bisodun in the Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area. The arrest took place on August 4, 2025, around 1:37 p.m., during routine patrols conducted by officers from the Mokoloki-Ofada Area Command.
The patrol team, led by Assistant Commander Odetayo Amidu, swiftly responded to a distress call regarding suspicious activity on a farm in Lokoji, Obafemi-Owode. Upon arrival, they caught Kamoru attempting to escape the scene while in possession of a stolen 1.5-horsepower pumping machine.
Dr. Ganzallo confirmed that the suspect, along with the recovered item, has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force at the Iro Division for further investigation and potential prosecution.
In his statement, Commander Ganzallo praised the officers for their professionalism, vigilance, and unwavering commitment to community safety. He emphasized that ensuring peace and security in Ogun State is of utmost importance, stating, “No part of the state will be left unprotected. The safety of lives and property is non-negotiable.”
