In a significant political development, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has welcomed a distinguished group of political leaders into its ranks. This event represents a pivotal moment as these prominent figures officially rejoin the progressive movement, reaffirming their commitment to the party's vision and agenda.

Among the notable leaders rejoining the APC are Hon. Adekunle Akinlade, former Governorship Candidate for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and former Deputy Governorship Candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP); Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele, the immediate past State Chairman of the PDP; and Hon. Luqmon Atobatele, a current member of the Ogun State House of Assembly. The gathering also included respected former officeholders and party leaders, all united in their resolve to support the APC.

The return of these influential leaders, along with thousands of their supporters from all 236 wards across Ogun State, signifies more than a mere declaration. It represents a genuine grassroots integration that begins at the ward level and permeates the broader political landscape. During a heartfelt welcome, party leaders—including Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun—assured the new members of their full rights, privileges, and mutual respect within the party.
