LOCKDOWN :IDL COMPLIMENTS GOVERNMENT TO CUSHION EFFECTS ON COMMUNITY, VULNERABLE - GM ADEGOKE

In furtherance to the concerted efforts of the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun led - administration to cushion the effects of Covid-19, a global pandemic, on the residents in Ogun State, Intercontinental Distillers Limited, Ota, has donated hundreds of bags of rice and cartons of indomie to the Community Development Association (CDA's) and vulnerables in its environment.

The General Manager of the Organisation, Ota factory, Mr Adesina Adegoke made this declaration in an interactive session with the pressmen including TMnews adding that, it is imperative for organisations at this trying period to also compliments the efforts of the Governments.

According to him, government can only try to cushion the effects of this global pandemic on few individuals because of the density population, but, it's bestowed on the organisations and well-wisher individuals to assist governments in achieving a desirable result.

Mr Adegoke emphasised on the economic activities of this period as nothing to talk about in terms of profit making adding  that a sustainable country in terms of socio- political prowess can only facilitate economic activities in the country.

He enjoined Nigerians to strictly  adhere to the directives of  governments on lockdown which is the best decision at this time to identify more cases in order to get rid of this deadly disease once and for all.

In separate remarks, Mr Olakunle  Ajayi, of Crown Royal CDA, Mr Charles isibor of Covenant Garden CDA and Mr Adeshina Abiodun of Unity Estate CDA respectively, thanked the management of the Organisation for coming to their aid at this crucial stage.

"This is not the first time the Intercontinental Distilleries Limited will be doing this to the immediate  environment, in fact, through their  Cooperate Social Responsibility, we have benefited a lot. We promise to continually be in support of this Organisation", they said.



Mr Adegoke advised Nigerians to stay at home and exercise various hygienic procedures as stated by governments adding that IDL management has put all the necessary precautions in place to safe guard the employees of the Organisation and ensure their full payments as at when due not minding the present situation in the country.

"IDL as an organisation will continue to do the needful in supporting governments  at all times" he stated.
