In a bid to make life comfortable for the masses during the lockdown period, the Former Executive Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government and Chairman, Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, Comrade Rotimi Rahmon popularly known as Arugbo has started the distribution of relief packages for he people through out the nooks and crannies of the area.
Speaking with the journalists during a media chat in Ota, Arugbo said the decision taken by both the Federal and State Governments are in the interest of the citizens adding that it is good to lockdown the system in the country than allowing it to get out of control.
He added that the numbers of those infected have been on the high side in which no government will fold its hands allowing it to cause a National disaster saying politicians must have the interests of their electorates at heart, see to their well-being as demonstrated by the present administration of President Muhammad Buhari.
Rahmon enjoined all the residents to be law abiding as stipulated which will enable the governments have a desirable result at the end of the exercise promising to continue giving out the relief packages at door steps through out the fourteen days.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Adekunle Ajayi thanked comrade Rahmon for the gesture saying he has been known for his good works ever since he was the Chairman of the Local Government wishing him best of luck in his future ambition.
