We need to meet all relevant stakeholders to brainstorm and map out plans to help out in achieving these set goals, as the task of uplifting the educational standards is a responsibility of all and sundry", she said.

Mrs. Soyombo pointed out that government was committed to improving the welfare of both the teaching and non-teaching staff, adding that the present administration had since inception, adopted about 28 community schools.

In her contribution, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs. Abosede Ogunleye, appreciated the Parent/Teacher Associations (PTAs), Old Students Associations and other stakeholders, for their passion towards improving education standard in the State, pledging the Ministry’s assistance for projects they intend to execute.

Speaking on behalf of the Old Students Associations and PTAs, Dr. Babajide Dasaolu and Mr. Alao Anifowose respectively, commended government for priortising teachers' welfare and for the on-going renovation in about 952 public schools, calling for more of government supports and interventions in schools, while also soliciting the presence of security officers in schools, so as to curb cultism among students and thereby enabling them to focus on their studies.
