CITYBOY LIKEMINDS VOLUNTEERS APP LEADS NIGERIA’S DATA-DRIVEN ELECTORAL STRATEGY AHEAD OF 2027
In Nigeria’s political space, the traditional method of mobilizing support has often relied on physical gatherings, party structures and indirect empowerment channels. While these approaches have delivered results over time, they are frequently limited by lack of accurate data, transparency gaps and unverifiable participation. The CityBoy LikeMinds Volunteers App introduces a clear departure from this model by building a system anchored on genuine supporters with valid voter registration, captured and verified digitally.
Developed as a structured digital solution, the App provides credible, verifiable and organized data of supporters and eligible voters, with a strong emphasis on ward-level accuracy across Nigeria’s 8,809 wards. By capturing real-time information, including voter card details, the platform ensures that political engagement is driven by facts, not assumptions.
According to the Director General of the initiative, Temidayo Babalola, the platform represents a major shift from traditional methods of political projections to a more precise and accountable system of empowerment.
“For too long, electoral strength has been measured by estimates and unverified figures. What we are building is a system that provides clarity, structure and evidence. With this App, we are able to track, verify and coordinate supporters in a way that reflects true grassroots strength,” he stated.
The platform has already demonstrated significant traction. During its test-run phase even without public announcements or structured onboarding, the App recorded over *100,000 registrations within a month*, out of which more than *15,000 entries were verified with valid voter information.* This early success underscores both the demand for such a system and the credibility of the initiative.
CityBoy LikeMinds Volunteers maintains that its approach is not only innovative but necessary in a modern democratic environment where data integrity, transparency and accountability are increasingly critical.
*NEXT PHASE: Southwest Unveiling and National Expansion*
Building on the success of its pilot phase, the movement is set to commence its second phase with a strategic unveiling across the Southwest geopolitical zone. This marks the beginning of a coordinated national expansion drive aimed at scaling the platform’s reach and impact.
The target remains ambitious yet achievable to register *2.5 million verified volunteers* across Nigeria, establishing one of the most structured and credible voter databases ahead of the 2027 elections.
In driving this vision, special appreciation is extended to the National Coordinator, Hon. Adekunle Akinlade (Triple-A), whose leadership, coordination and strategic engagements have played a critical role in positioning the movement for success.
His ability to build productive relationships and mobilize key stakeholders continues to strengthen the foundation of the initiative and move it closer to its objectives.
The Director General also commended the tireless efforts of team members across all levels, whose dedication, discipline and belief in the mission have sustained the momentum of the movement.
“This progress is not the effort of one individual. It is the result of collective commitment, strong coordination and shared belief in what we are building. I deeply appreciate our National Coordinator and every team member working relentlessly to ensure we reach our destination,” Babalola added.
*CALL FOR COLLABORATION*
Beyond internal mobilization, the group is extending an open invitation to the general public and political stakeholders to collaborate with the platform. Such collaboration will enhance planning, improve grassroots coordination and promote evidence-based decision-making.
The initiative is also aligned with broader efforts to mobilize and consolidate support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with a focus on building a measurable and verifiable support base ahead of the 2027 elections.
As political activities gradually intensify, the CityBoy LikeMinds Volunteers App is emerging as a strategic tool for stakeholders seeking clarity, structure and measurable impact in electoral engagement.
With its emphasis on credible data, strong organizational framework and nationwide reach, the initiative is setting a new benchmark for how political mobilization can be conducted in Nigeria’s digital age.
