From Village Roots to European Stages: Young Busy Uncorks a New Era with “Champagne”
Afrobeats trailblazer Young Busy is stepping into his moment and he’s doing it in style. His brand-new single “Champagne” is more than a release; it’s a victory toast, setting the pace for his highly anticipated EP Senior Elder, slated for 2026.
Born Okhuelegbe Oseyi Sylvester, Young Busy’s story is one of grit, growth and global ambition. His love for music sparked early at just 12 inside village drama and music groups, where raw talent met street-born passion. By the time he wrapped up secondary school in 2007, opportunity came knocking with a performance deal for Ajinomoto, opening doors to Phytown Music Production. There, he recorded his first four tracks alongside HH Gang, Benu-C, Ballzee, and Custanzo early moves that hinted at a star in the making.
Never one to limit himself, Young Busy balanced brains with beats, earning a Business Administration degree from the University of Benin while refining a sound destined for bigger stages. In 2011, he took that sound to the UK, studying Musical Theatre and delivering a standout performance at Manchester’s Martin Harris Centre during the acclaimed Music of the Night Show.
By 2016, Italy became the launchpad of his professional career, beginning with “Where Are You” featuring Tawa Da Gold. Then came the breakthrough: the OYOYO EP in 2018. Powered by the infectious hit “OYOYO” (produced by EZKMix), the project trended across Italy and beyond, firmly placing Young Busy on the international Afrobeats map.
Momentum followed. The COMFORT EP (2020), ALL4YOU album (2022), and the 2024 single “Trouble” featuring Chaplet showcased an artiste in constant evolution—versatile, intentional, and globally tuned.
Now, in 2025, Young Busy returns sharper and louder. “Champagne” is a bold celebration of survival, elevation, and earned success. It signals a confident new chapter—one where experience meets excellence and vision meets victory.
From village beginnings to European stages, Young Busy isn’t just making music, he’s building a legacy. And with “Champagne” leading the charge, the world is invited to raise a glass to what comes next.
