Asiwaju Yomi Oke Set for Grand 40th Birthday Celebration in Ota
The city of Ota, Ogun State is gearing up for a major social highlight as renowned youth advocate and humanitarian leader, Asiwaju Yomi Oke, prepares to celebrate his 40th birthday on Friday November 28, 2025.
The event, billed to hold at the Landmark Executive Multipurpose Hall, Akhidernor Bus Stop, Joju Road, Ota, is scheduled for 4 p.m. It is themed “Focused on Outstanding Legacy, a FOOL @ 40,” a reflection of Oke’s longstanding commitment to community service, youth development and public communication.
Popularly known as “Asiwaju,” Oke has carved a niche for himself through years of consistent engagement with young people, grassroots initiatives and humanitarian programmes. His rise from coordinating youth groups in his early years to becoming a prominent figure in Lions Clubs International District 404-B4 Nigeria, and later serving as Media Aide to several public office holders, has earned him widespread recognition.
Sources within the planning committee revealed that the Ruby Jubilee celebration will feature goodwill messages, documentary presentations, musical performances and appearances by notable personalities from government, media, entertainment and humanitarian sectors.
Oke is also the founder of SKATA Skills and Talent Academy, through which more than 1,000 youths and women in Ogun State have been trained in various vocational and capacity-building programmes. Within the Lions community, he has championed projects on hunger relief, childhood cancer awareness, and educational support for vulnerable children.
As he clocks 40, Oke says the new chapter of his life will focus on strengthening his “outstanding legacy” through deeper service, leadership mentoring and sustained interventions in community development.
With preparations now in top gear, residents of Ota and associates from across the country are looking forward to a colourful celebration honouring a man widely regarded as a voice of influence and a bridge-builder in youth and humanitarian circles.
