How Wale Dada’s Joke on Stage Turned Into a Brand New Hyundai 2025 Car

By Temidayo Babalola

It was an evening of tributes, celebration of life, and cultural glamour at the final burial ceremony of the late Queen Ajoke Ojugbele on August 29. Among the many dignitaries, friends, and well-wishers who gathered to honour the matriarch, one moment stood out-a lighthearted joke that turned into an unforgettable reality for popular radio and television personality, Wale Dada thegood.

As the Master of Ceremony, Wale Dada entertained the audience with his signature wit and humour. At a point during the event, an anonymous walked into the venue with entourage, Wale Dada announced his arrival and jokingly directed a playful request to him “Sir, we are still waiting for my car,” he quipped, sparking laughter from the crowd.

To the shock of many and the delight of Wale Dada, that casual request did not go unnoticed. Later after the programme, he called wale dada today and, in front of the cheering audience, presented him with a brand new Hyundai 2015 car — turning a simple joke into a life-changing moment.

The gesture may have surprised Wale Dada, but to many who know the man who claim anonymous, it was yet another testament to his reputation as a generous giver and passionate supporter of Nigerian youths.

An indigene of Ogun State, who built a legacy that extends far beyond his thriving businesses. Through his hospitality empire, which provides employment for over 500 staff, and has consistently invested in human development and youth empowerment.
His interventions cut across entertainment, entrepreneurship, education, and community service. Many young Nigerians, particularly from his home state, have benefitted from his support in building careers, sustaining livelihoods, and reducing unemployment.

While presenting the car gift, he emphasized his admiration for Wale Dada’s years of dedication to entertainment and media. He noted that talents who uplift others through their craft deserve to be recognized and encouraged.

Reacting to the surprise, Wale Dada was overwhelmed with gratitude. He described the gift as both humbling and motivating, urging Nigerian youths to stay committed to their crafts while calling on the public to celebrate this man who continually invest in people.

Over the years, he has become a household name in Ogun State and beyond, not only for his business success but also for his far-reaching philanthropy. From scholarships for indigent students to financial support for start-ups and young entertainers, his passion for giving has touched countless lives.

His philosophy is clear: empowering the youth is a direct investment in Nigeria’s future. By creating jobs, supporting creative talents, and sponsoring community projects, he continues to contribute meaningfully to the fight against unemployment and poverty in the country.

The story of Wale Dada’s unexpected gift will be remembered as more than just a surprise; it is a reminder of the importance of generosity, recognition, and community support.

For many, this man remains a shining example of how successful business leaders can leverage their influence and resources to empower others and drive social change.

As Wale Dada drives away in his new Hyundai 2015, the bigger story is not just about the car but about the message it sends — that talent, dedication, and hard work will always be noticed, and that philanthropy, when practiced with sincerity, can inspire an entire generation.
