CP Agbonika Vows To Remain Focused on Combating Crime in Edo as His Operatives Arrest Five, Recovers Arms
The Edo State Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Agbonika has pledged to remain focused on combating crime in the state, TMnews report.This commitment follows a successful operation by the Command's Intelligence and Rapid Response Squad and Anti-Kidnapping Squad, resulting in the arrest of five individuals, including a dethroned traditional leader, Ovbokhan Igbinovia Kelvin. The suspects were found in possession of firearms, ammunition, and a suspected human skull.
This was revealed by the command Public Relations Officer, CSP Moses Yamu after a successful sting operation carried out by operatives of the Command Intelligence and Rapid Response Squad alongside the Anti-Kidnapping Squad on Saturday that led to the arrest of the recently dethroned Ohen of Okhoromi one Ovbokhan Igbinovia Kelvin 43yrs, Osarodion Omoregie 41yrs, Charles Otasowei 55yrs, Edwin Igbinovia 45yrs and Osagie Igbinovia 44yrs.
According to him "following exhibits; two (2) AK 47 rifles with breach numbers TH4782 and 6683 respectively, two (2) single barrel locally made shotguns, Three (3) empty AK47 magazines, one (1) OFM magazine, eleven (11) rounds of 7.62mm ammunition and a suspected human skull were recovered from the premises of Ovbokhan Igbinovia Kelvin the dethroned Ohen of Okhoromi when search was conducted".
CP Monday Agbonika fdc assure the public that investigations are ongoing to apprehend additional suspects and recover more weapons.
