OGUN CP, COMMUNITY COMMENDS ACP SANI FOR BUILDING GIGANTIC EDIFICE IN OTA AREA COMMAND

By SAM POPOOLA, Ota
It was Saturday, May 25, 2024 when the Area Commander, ACP  Mohammed Musa Sani, shined gloriously as Sango-Ota Community joined Ogun State Police Commissioner, CP Abiodun Mustapha Alamutu in recognition of the ingenuity and hardwork of ACP Sani, demonstrated in the upliftment of the command to a modern transformational edifice.
The ceremony features who is who in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, including royal fathers, PCRC Reps, Community leaders, security agencies, including TRACE Area Commander, Ogun West, Ajibade Adekunle, and newly posted FRSC Ota Unit Commander, Wasiu Ogunmefun.
Unable to hide his feelings CP Alamutu remarked, "I thought I was coming to commission a rennovated building. But, this is more than rennovation. It is an edifice, earlier conceived in the mind of ACP Sani, but now brought into reality by a dint of passion, hardwork, commitment and ingenuity".
Pouring encomiums, CP Alamutu further stressed, "You have left your footprints on the sand of time. This is commendable, and a proof apt to correct erroneous impression of the worth of Police profession.

"With this contribution, who can say police profession is not worthy of being choosen as a career.  I believe Police are often being misunderstood and misrepresented. If I had another opportunity in the next life, I will be a policeman".

In recognising ACP perfect sense of direction and team work both with Police and the Community, the CP observed, "This edifice cannot come by without existing cordiality and synergy between the police and the community"

He enjoined Police officers to emulate good example of ACP Sani, adding, "I want to remind my officers and men that the only way  to earn people's respect is to be fair to them. What is good is good, what is bad is bad.

"Our relationship is based on truth. If you go out of your way to break the law, you can't say you know CP Alamutu who will help you out of the trouble you put yourselves into.
He further solicited the gathering to say no to crime and expose criminally minded miscreants for peace to reign.

"We need the support of everybody to stem criminality in our community. I enjoin the community to maintain the already cordial relationship existing between you and the police. Feel free to relate with Police whenever it is necessary.

Delivering what he described as Royal Golden Message of the paramount ruler of Ota, the Olota of Ota, Oba Abdulkadir Obalanlege, the Seriki of Ota, high Chief Olanrewaju Balogun, said he had not seen a finer police officer like ACP Sani and congratulated CP Alamutu for having such an Area Commander Sani to work with.

"ACP Sani is such a fine Police Area Commander who really knows his onions and rated high for his professionalism. He is an astute Police Officer whose amiable nature, ingenuity and combination of wisdom and experience have yielded good report of connecting other security sister agencies in the very existing synergy.

"He ensures true Community Policing is established, and with the building of this edifice ACP Sani has made a historical mark in Ota that will outlive everyone.

"Initially, when we learnt an Hausa man was being transferred to fill the vacant Sango-Ota Area Command post (after the exist of ACP Monday Agbonika), we did not like the idea, thinking a Yoruba officer would be better. This is because, we believed he would understand our language and be more familiar with the terrain, but ACP Sani has proved us wrong, not only that he knows the terrain, he blends so easily with all and sundry and works with the sense of belonging".

A cleric, Pastor Olusegun Omole, who presented an award gift to ACP Sani, described him as a hardworking police officer who does not exhibit religious bias in his duty, though he is committed Muslim.

Speaking in the same vein, a leader of Muslim community at Katangowa, Lagos State, eulogised ACP Sani as a true Muslim who gives generously to the needy.

"He attends mosque regularly and he is Number One donor to our orphanage organization at our mosque in Katangowa, Oke-Odo, Lagos".

The men of the fourth estate of the realm, were not left out of recognizing the worth of ACP Sani, as Publisher of the Crime Puzzle, Felix Mordi, presented him with his high towering prodigy award of Excellence, as a Quintessential Ambassador of the Nigeria Police Force.
