The Special Squad of Ogun Sate owned security outfit, So-Safe Corps under the leadership of Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo on Wednesday 23rd February, 2022 during a routine patrol apprehended a middle-aged man named Alani Sunday while he was attempting to escape with a child of about one and a half year at Tolase Village in Odeda Local Government Area of the state.
According to a press release issued from the office of the State Commander of the Corps, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the Director of Information and Public Relation of the Corps, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf said that ''Upon interrogation by the Ilugun Special Squad of the Corps, Alani Sunday who claimed indigene of Ogun State confessed that he was taking the child to his other co-kidnappers/ritualists.
Some of the items found on the alleged kidnapper were Automated Teller Machine Card (ATM card) and a handset.
The suspect and the items found on him were transferred to the Nigeria Police Odeda Divisional Command for further investigation and likely prosecution.
