POLICE ARRESTS TEENAGERS WHO HACKS OKADA RIDER TO DEATH IN OGUN These teenagers Sodiq Awokoya (18yrs), Odunayo Samson (18 yrs) and Jimoh Rilwan (17yrs) have been arrested by men of Ogun state police command for killing a motorcyclist Bashiru Umaru before snatching his motorcycle.
They killed him so they could sell his Okada for quick cash.
They were arrested in Ogere when they attempted to sell the Okada to a buyer who asked them questions on how they got it and realized their stories didn’t add up.
He reported to the police, the police questioned them, they were arrested and transferred back to Iperu-Remo. The area they stole the Okada from. On getting to the station, one of the family members of the deceased who was there to report that their family member is saw Okada and immediately recognized it by the plates.
After long hours of questioning, the teenagers confessed that they robbed him and that hacked him then tied him to a tree cos he struggled with them. By the time the police got to where the man was tied, he was dead. He had machete wounds.
These according to police reports. The Ogun CP has ordered the immediate transfer of the SUSPECTS to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation, with the view of charging them to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
