AYETORO-IGAN-OKOTO-IBORO ROAD’LL BE READY SOON-ABIODUN
The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has assured the people of Yewa North Local Government Area that the ongoing construction of 21 kilometers Ayetoro-Igan-Okoto-Iboro road will be commissioned soon.
Governor Abiodun gave the assurance while speaking with OGIS correspondent after inspecting the road, saying it was divided into two phases, with the first phase in progress.
He said his administration awarded the contract for the construction of the second phase, to ensure even distribution of social amenities for the people, noting that the stone based work had been done and the job was progressing steadily.
“Work would have gone farther than now, but for the rain. I have directed the contractor to speed up work, hopefully, we will be back to commission it in another one month”, the Governor stated.
Abiodun noted that the construction of the road was as a result of his administration’s promise to the people, appealing to them to pay their taxes to enable government fulfill its obligations.
"I want to call on our people to please pay their taxes. Government have so many things to do but we need money. We have spent money in constructing houses, health facilities, roads and others. I promise that your money will be judiciously used", the Governor said.
