OGUN PROMISES MORE SUPPORT FOR ACADEMIC COMPETITIONS

 Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu has said that the government will continue to support and encourage its learners, to participate in academic competitions, in order to identify the best and explore their potentials.

 Prof.  Arigbabu made this known at the State competition of the Junior Engineering Technician and Science (JETS) among schools, at Abeokuta Grammar School, Idi-Aba, saying adequate preparation has been put in place to ensure that representatives of the State emerged as the overall best.

Arigbabu, who stated that the State won 11 laurels in various competitions last year, noted that schools would continue to give quality teaching to produce excellent students.

"I want to assure you that we will give you the best support and encouragement needed to compete well and excel. l pray you will surpass whatever feat achieved in the State, as we do our best to prepare and nurture you for future endeavours", he said.

The Commissioner added that engaging learners in relevant competitions would help task their brain for educational advancement, that would project the State in the front line among its peers in the country.
