Breaking: Sen. Sani Yerima And Abdul'aziz Yari's Foot Soldier, Ahmed Balarabe Anka Dumps APC For PDP With Over 2,000 Followers In Zamfara

One of the major ally to Ex-Governor Abdul'aziz Abubakar Yari  and one of Ahmed Rufai Sani Yerima's foot soldiers in Zamfara State, Ahmed Balarabe Anka, has now dumped the All Progressive Congress for PDP with over 2,000 followers.

His decision according to a source is based on his love and support for Governor Bello Matawalle's fight against insecurity in the state.

Ahmed Balarabe who is currently the Sole Administrator of Anka Local Government, during a massive rally held at the Anka Local government headquarters, expressed his unalloyed supports for the Governor.

His defection is now coming following series of unprecedented defections to the PDP in Zamfara State ahead of the 2023 elections.

Just days ago, the Zamfara State Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bala Bello Maru dumbed his political party, APC, and his benefactor, Senator Marafa.



The astute  politician who was nominated by Senator Marafa to Governor Matawalle few years back Omonaijablog.com reports
decided to pitch his tent with the People's Democratic Party, PDP and also promised his unalloyed support and loyalty to the Governor of the State, Bello Matawalle.

Among many other reasons, the Secretary to the State Government was said to have decided to dumb his former benefactor and party leader because he, Senator Marafa was said to be one of the biggest player in the lingering crisis in the Zamfara State Chapter if the APC.

Recalled that on Tuesday February 2, 2021, Omonaijablog.com also reported the defection of Col. Yandoto rtd, from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to People Democratic Party PDP.

So also, members of the defunct APC Social Media Forum declared their unanimous decision to decamp from the APC to PDP,  citing reasons for doing so, the group said among them is the clear indication that the party leaders were only using them for their selfish interests rather than the interests of the party members and the citizens of Zamfara State.


Hundreds of APC Social Media Facebookers, under the auspices of ‘APC Social Media Forum’ dumped their Master Former Governor Abdul Aziz Yari, affirming their support to Governor Bello Matawalle.

The Facebookers, who were at the Government House to announce their defection from APC to PDP were led by the Chairman, Comrade Aminu Mohammed Lecturer, and the Secretary, Comrade Ahmed Mohammed Janbako.

In their separate speeches, the Leaders of the APC Social Media Forum, Comrade Aminu Mohammed Kaura (Lecturer) and Comrade Ahmed promised to work for the success of Governor Bello Matawalle's adminstration.

Also, a Civil Society Organisation, CSO, called Competent Governance for Accountability and Civic Trust, CGACT, on Monday, threw their weight behind the  Governor's approach in tackling insecurity plaguing the State.

CGACT’s Convener, Amb Adebayo Michael, during a press conference held in Abuja, on the worrisome plight of insecurity in the country, commended the Governor for taking the initiative to address the protracted issue of insecurity in Zamfara State said dialogue is one of the best methods to drastically reduce insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, and other violent crimes.
