Ebonyi State Commissioner for Health Dr. Umezuruike Daniel who  disclosed this Newsmen in Abakaliki said that
eight suspected cases  from Ebonyi who were examined were all tested negative and would be discharged accordingly.

He  also said already samples have been received from Abia and Enugu states.

The commissioner however noted that so far all the referrals have tested negative.

On the establishment of the Centre, the commissioner noted that already the state had a virology centre with all the equipment at the Alex Ekwueme Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki.

“Enugu and Abia have brought samples but none has tested positive so far. Some not yet completed but at the end the states are expected to announce the results". He said.
