COMMISSIONER CALLS FOR WORKABLE IDEAS FROM WORKFORCE IN YEAR 2021
Staff in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology have been commended for their result-oriented ideas that have helped improve the educational sector in the State. They were also encouraged not to relent in their oars, towards supporting the government in its effort to place education on the pedestal of pride in the new year.
Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu said this during the prayer session held at the premises of the ministry, to usher in the new year where he appreciated God for His faithfulness over the lives of the management and members of staff.
Professor Arigbabu who appreciated the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his giant strides in the sector and for giving education priority said, "We cannot but appreciate our Governor, who has indeed been a man of his words by giving us the necessary support needed to revitalise the state of education, through his desire to take education to a place of pride".
In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Abosede Ogunleye expressed gratitude to the workforce for their cooperation and working tirelessly for the success of education in the year 2020, despite the lockdown as a result of COVID-19 pandemic.
Mrs. Ogunleye charged the education officers to always imbibe the spirit of punctuality, consistency, seriousness and comradeship, saying without them no tangible achievements could be realised.
In their messages, the Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Mr. Ezekiel Adewunmi and Mr. Abdulazeez Adebayo who preached in Christian and Islamic way respectively, enjoined the people to praise God the more in the new year as a way of appreciating His goodness and wonderful works to them, their co-workers and their families, adding that through constant praises, prayers would be answered speedily.
