The Onipokia of Ipokia Kingdom, HRM Oba Yisa Adelakun OLANIYAN, Oshingin II yesterday performed his first official assignment as the Traditional Authority of Ipokia Kingdom as he crowned two Obas in his jurisdiction as approved by the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR.
The two Obas crowned on 20th August 2020 are HRH Oba James Igbowu, the Opo of Idosemo and HRH Oba Sikiru Adewale, the Alaye of Oniro Agude both in Ipokia Kingdom.
The Onipokia of Ipokia Kingdom in conjunction with the Hon. Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Afolabi Afuwape representing the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, jointly presented appointment letters and Instruments of Office to the Obas as approved.
This took place after Onipokia had given his goodwill message, where he appreciated the Government of Price Dapo Abiodun MFR for approving and installing 3 Obas in Ipokia Local Government within two weeks. Onipokia, on behalf himself, Onipokia-in-Council and the people of Ipokia Kingdom therefore pledged his unalloyed supports for this government while urging them to continue putting his people and communities in their development and infrastructural development plans under the agenda of #buildingourfuturetogether.
Other dignitaries who witnessed the crowning of the Obas are HRH, Oba Maruf Ayinla Awode, the Ololo of Ijofin, the Adele Oba of Ipokia, Ambassador Adesola Abolurin, High Chief Otunba Akeem Adigun Socopao, Ipokia LG Caretaker Chairman, Hon Abdulkabeer Abolurin and Committee members, staff of Ipokia Local Government and other eminent personalities.
We pray that Idosemo Land and Oniro Land continue to witness speedy development as we work in unison to develop the entire Ipokia Kingdom.
