DC Najeem Ogundeyi Assumes Office as Acting Kwara Area Controller

Deputy Comptroller of Customs, DC Najeem Ogundeyi has assumed office as the Acting Area Controller of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Kwara Area Command, following a formal handover ceremony held on Tuesday, 16 December 2025, at the Command’s headquarters in Ilorin, TMnews report 


The transition marked the end of the tenure of Comptroller Faith Ojeifo, who expressed appreciation to officers and stakeholders for their cooperation and support during his stewardship. He noted that the collective commitment of personnel contributed significantly to the Command’s achievements in revenue generation, enforcement operations and service delivery.
Comptroller Ojeifo thanked the Comptroller General of Customs for the opportunity to serve and wished the Command continued peace, progress, and operational excellence. He also expressed confidence in the capacity of his successor and urged officers and men to give him their full cooperation.

In his acceptance remarks, DC Ogundeyi thanked the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, and the Management of the Service for the confidence reposed in him. He commended his predecessor for providing purposeful leadership and laying a strong foundation for sustained progress.

DC Ogundeyi said he was fully conscious of the responsibilities of the office and pledged to discharge his duties with dedication and commitment. He emphasized teamwork, professionalism, transparency, and discipline as the guiding principles of his administration, adding that he would consolidate on existing achievements to advance the Command’s mandate.

The handover ceremony was attended by senior Customs officers, representatives of sister security agencies, and other key stakeholders, signifying a smooth and orderly transition of leadership at the Kwara Area Command.
