AIG ILIYASU RECEIVES IN COURTESY, NEW LAGOS CORRECTIONAL SERVICE CONTROLLER, FRANCIS ADEWALE
The new Controller of Nigeria Correctional Service, Lagos Command, Controller Francis Adewale Adebisi paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu, psc+, dfsin FAISSON, CSP today.
The visit which was in furtherance of the collaborative efforts of the Police and Office of the Controller of Corrections in ensuring justice is served in line with the Administration of Criminal Justice.
According to the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Hauwa Idrs-Adamu in a press release made available to TMnews stated that "the AIG and members of the Zonal Police management team received the Controller and his entourage in his office at the Zonal Command Headquarters, Onikan Lagos"
"The Controller commends officers of the Nigeria Police for the existing synergy and collaboration also in the areas of Proper Police Investigation, preservation of evidences and Prosecution of Offenders as well as protection of lives & property while the AIG in his response, reiterated the commitment and readiness of the Zone to work together with the Nigerian Correctional Service and other sister agencies in ensuring the safety and security of the populace, he also lauds the Federal Government of Nigeria for adopting the Community Policing Strategy which is the best way in fighting and reducing crime and criminality at this time" she added.
