GOV. GANDUJE, KANO INDIGENES LAUDS ILIYASU'S ACHIEVEMENTS, CELEBRATES HIS LEGACY, HEIGHT ATTAINED

The Kano State Government honoured two AIGs who served the State and most importantly AIG Ahmed Iliyasu psc+ who until his elevation to the most prestigious rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police was the Kano State Police Command Commissioner.

During Iliyasu's watch as the Kano Police CP, he fought to a standstill the incessant reports of Kidnapping, armed robbery, cattle rustling, rescue of 9 kidnapped children and Magajin Garin Daura and so many more.

The Kano Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje lauded AIG Iliyasu giant strides while speaking at the epoch event last night identified how the police boss fought to a standstill, the acts of kidnapping, armed robbery, banditry amongst others with his Community Policing Strategy engagement.

According to the Governor "the modern police technology and Strategy applied by AIG Iliyasu when he was our CP is what we are enjoying today in Kano and we are glad to be associated with him, this night is not enough to reward his numerous achievements to the security of our State"

The current Kano State Police Command, CP Habu A. Sani psc+ (Kalamu Waheed) had earlier organized a Sent-forth party in honour of the Assistant Inspector General of police incharge of ZONE 2 Logos, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu psc+ (Bahubali) as the former Kano Police CP.

Many testimonies were made by senior officers of the command, identifying AIG Iliyasu as a teacher, mentor, leader etc.
