Meet a biochemistry graduate who chooses to create an online content for cosmetics and beauty, Taiwo Ajueyisi spoke deeply with TMnews Magazine on how she currently involved in a lottery created to fund project in Culture, Entertainment and Tourism. Moreso, she aim to develop an Academy for kids to come and be trained, mentored and inspired. She believes Government can do something along these lines where it’s a win for Govt and the public.

Can we meet u please?
I am Taiwo Ajueyisi and I am 23years old. I was born in Lagos and I’m a proud indigene of Ondo. I am a graduate of Biochemistry at Ondo State University of Science and Technology. My hobbies are creating content for my Cosmetics and Beauty online sites, creating fun and meeting influential people and doing scientific and cosmetologic data research. I also own an online business called @glambytitanium on Instagram. This is a makeup artistry business seeking to redefine makeup through cosmetology. This means looking at makeup holistically. I developed a way of making the most of affordable makeup. In fact our moto is “Pay Less and look Rich!”  It was through my interest in beauty that inspired me to develop a training syllabus for young girls with a view to giving them a credible qualification before leaving secondary school. I have also worked with several organizations as a commercial and runway model. My aspirations are to be a mother my children and family will be proud of and for my plan to give back to young disadvantaged girls to impact my country positivity.

As renowned model, how would u penetrate into this highly competitive Entertainment industry?
Well knowing that I want to be relevant, I just try to be good with whatever I do by bringing an extra sauce, something different to the table and I let everything fall in place. I am not just a model, I pride myself on drawing from all my influences. For instance; I’m a business woman; I connect influential people; I’m an influencer of young women; I’m a scientist and inventor; I’m currently serving my country by working in Federal Govt. I have an inquisitive mind and Everyone that meets me agrees I have X Factor!

What year did u discover your talent?
I believe God blessed me with many talents for which I am eternally grateful. However, I believe it was in 2014 when I stared to develop as a woman that people I would meet for the first time would see my inner light that my family and I always knew was there.

Do u think Lagos would influence your career as an entertainer?
Lagos is now a worldwide recognised centre of excellence for entertainment. Of course it will influence my career. However, it’s important to note that Lagos is not easy and only blesses the hardworking. Therefore, I have planned my Lagos moves very carefully and modestly. This equally relates to work, business, accommodation or play.

Are u currently under any endorsement?
No, for now I am currently not under any endorsement.

As a model, would u prefer calendar, runway or fashion modelling as a choice ?
I pride myself on being flexible so I can perform in all areas of modelling but I think I excel in calendar or runway because of my vital statistics

What have u done that u like most?
Well I love the fact of being a run way model at the LA mode green October event because it was super exciting for me.

Who is your role model and why do u choose the person?
My role model is my mentor who influenced me to look at my opportunities with fresh eyes. He is very smart and came to Nigeria to make a difference and he taught me how to think big and see how I could use my skills to make a difference too.

What should Nigerians expect from you in 2020?
Nigerians should expect me building my brand to the international level in the year 2020

Is your talent targeting Nigerians, Africans or how the world?
I am definitely looking global. In fact, my “Go Fund US!” Project is looking to go global soon. This is how I plan to seek global funding for my training courses for underprivileged girls

Apart from modelling and creative arts, what else do u do?
I am a researcher by profession and I worked in companies such as Guinness where I did primarily lab and technical work relating to my degree.

What's your advice for the youth aspiring for modelling and creative arts?
Plan, plan and plan before diving in. Research about the industry and see where you can fit in the creative arts value chain e.g. look at social media, cosmetics, photography etc.

What's your expectation in the nearest future?
Finish my service, build my brand and continue networking in the right circles.

What's the secret behind your talent and creativity or what gives you inspiration?
MY secret is God. It’s as simple as that. I’m inspired by smart work and integrity.

How would you want the Federal Government to key into Entertainment in order to reduce unemployment?
I am currently involved in a lottery created to fund project in Culture, Entertainment and Tourism. We aim to develop an Academy for kids to come and be trained mentored and inspired. I believe Government can do something along these lines where it’s a win win for Govt and the public.
